Another 2015 Sea Base High Adventure: SCUBA Live Aboard!!

Posted on Nov 19 2014 - 2:38pm

Hello scouts!!

We looked for another Sea Base Adventure for Summer 2015 and found a week available for SCUBA Live Aboard at Sea Base in the Florida Keys!!  This adventure is designed for scouts and adult leaders who will be SCUBA certified before they go to Sea Base (the group size is 10-12 people).  The SCUBA adventure will begin right after Coppell schools finish for the summer.  The crew will need to fly down to Florida on Friday, June 5, 2015 and return on Saturday, June 13, 2015.  The cost for scuba will be approximately $1500 + airfare (some people might choose to use airline miles).  For scouts and adults who would like to go, but who are not yet SCUBA certified, we can help coordinate training locally so you are ready to go when summer arrives (this would be an additional expense).

Seabase 2015

Hey Scouts!!
Now that school is back in session, it's time to begin thinking about next summer!!  This past year, we sent scouts to Philmont in New Mexico and The Summit in West Virginia.  For 2015, we are planning on sending scouts on a sea adventure!!  The Boy Scouts have two options we can consider for next summer:  Florida Sea Base High Adventure in the Florida Keys and Sea Scout Base in Galveston.  The age requirements are 13-years-old and completed 8th grade. A little bit about each one:
