National Youth Leadership Training

Posted on May 5 2016 - 9:13am

National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) is the highest level of youth leadership training, offered by BSA.  It is an exciting, action-packed program designed for councils to provide youth members with leadership skills and experience they can use in their home troops and in other situations demanding leadership of self and others.

NYLT is also a pre-requisite for the SPL position at Troop 842.  It is a six-day course, usually held at Camp James Ray in Pottsboro.  Scouts must be at least 13 years, First Class, and hold a leadership position in the troop.

There are several NYLT sessions during the Summer Break.  For information, click here.

If you do take NYLT, please email a copy of your certificate to advancements@troop842.com for troop records.
