We are Boy Scouts of America Troop 842 in Coppell, Texas, chartered by the First United Methodist Church in Coppell.

We meet on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm at 420 South Heartz Road in Coppell.  You are welcome to visit and learn more about us.

Camp Card Fundraiser 2015

Troop 842 will again be participating in the Camp Card fundraiser with Circle Ten.

This is a great opportunity for scouts to earn money to go toward paying for summer camp.

January 27th Troop Meeting

Troop Meeting 7-8pm.

Activity: Webelos Scouts visiting the troop.  We will have the monkey bridge, donuts, hot chocolate and hosting activities.  All scouts should be in full Field Uniform (Class A), and be on their best behavior to represent Troop 842 and welcome our guests.  Assigned jobs for the visit weeks are listed here.

Parents: We could use your help with supervising the outdoor activities. 

Ninja Patrol on Setup, flag and cleanup duty (arrive by 6:45pm to set up and get the flags ready; don't leave until everything is packed away).

Troop 842 will go to Camp Cris Dobbins in Colorado for Summer Camp, June 20-28, 2015!  More details coming!!

Seabase 2015

Hey Scouts!!
Now that school is back in session, it's time to begin thinking about next summer!!  This past year, we sent scouts to Philmont in New Mexico and The Summit in West Virginia.  For 2015, we are planning on sending scouts on a sea adventure at Florida Sea Base High Adventure in the Florida Keys!!  The age requirements are 13-years-old and completed 8th grade. Adult Needed to Coordinate Orienteering Course

Is there an adult willing and able to coordinate one or more session to help scouts complete this First Class requirement:

Using a map and compass, complete an orienteering course that covers at least one mile and requires measuring the height and/or width of designated items (tree, tower, canyon, ditch, etc.)
